The Broadmoor – “Grande Dame of the Rockies”

The Broadmoor opened in 1918 as a grand resort and gateway to the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The master plan was to create a place where European elegance met Western hospitality.

Today, the resort boasts three championship golf courses, consistently ranked among the best in the world, a five-star spa and fitness center, and includes 20 restaurants, cafes, and lounges. Horseback riding, guided hikes along scenic mountain trails, rock climbing instructions, and fly fishing excursions are all available to guests of The Broadmoor. Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs sits at the foot of one of America’s most famous landmarks, Pikes Peak. Visitors converge on the peak, where you can drive, ride the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, or even hike to its 14,115-foot summit. One of the nation’s most fabulous city parks, Garden of the Gods, is nestled in the foothills of Pikes Peak. The stunning red rock formations capture a perfect shot of the rocks framing the snow-capped mountain. One of the three U.S. Olympic Training Centers is located in Colorado Springs, as well as the U.S. Air Force Academy.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation named Colorado Springs one of its Dozen Distinctive Destinations. Colorado Springs was selected for its walkable historic areas, its commitment to sustainability, and its natural attractions and ample recreational opportunities in the nearby Rocky Mountains. You’ll find no shortage of things to do in Colorado Springs, where the adventures range from mild to wild!
