2018 Overview

At the Claims and Risk Management/Patient Safety Workshop, the sessions are designed to provide the most current industry information that you can use immediately in your daily work and share with your company and colleagues. Here are just a few of the topics at this year’s program:

  • Keynote speaker Jamie Orlikoff will discuss the macro forces driving revolutionary change in healthcare and their probable repercussions.
  • Perspectives from the Chief Medical Officer’s Roundtable will include information on the opioid epidemic, obstetric claims, stroke, and neuro presentations in the ED, and handoffs and transition
  • A discussion on non-verbal communication in law and medicine and the importance for MPL insurance professionals—in the office, with defendants in the courtroom, or in dealing with a distressed physician
